1. Who We Are

My Opinio is a points-based prediction market platform owned and operated by Opinio LLC, a company registered in the State of Nevada, United States of America. Our registered address is 1980 Festival Plaza Drive, Suite 300, Las Vegas, NV 89135, USA.

The platform is made accessible in certain regions through a network of independently contracted payment agents ("Agents"). These Agents are authorised solely to facilitate the collection and disbursement of funds on behalf of Opinio LLC within their respective regions. Agents do not own, operate, or control the platform, its technology, or its data. All personal data and account information remains under the sole control of Opinio LLC.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: first name, username, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
• Usage data: trades placed, markets viewed, points balance, referral activity.
• Transaction communications: when you contact an authorised Agent to request a deposit or withdrawal, the relevant transaction details (amount, confirmation, timestamp) are logged by Opinio LLC for record-keeping purposes. Agents do not independently retain your personal data.
• Transaction records: points deposited or withdrawn and associated timestamps — stored securely in our database under the sole control of Opinio LLC.
• Device information: browser type, approximate location (country), IP address — used for security and abuse prevention only.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate your account and process trades on the platform.
• To facilitate deposit and withdrawal requests handled by authorised Agents on behalf of Opinio LLC.
• To credit or debit points to your account following confirmed transactions reported by Agents.
• To send transactional emails (password reset, account notifications).
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• To improve the platform and user experience.
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.

4. How Deposits & Withdrawals Work

My Opinio uses an agent-assisted transaction model. There is no automated payment processor integrated into the app. The process works as follows:

• Deposits and withdrawals are handled by authorised payment Agents who act strictly as collection and disbursement intermediaries on behalf of Opinio LLC.
• Agents are contacted via WhatsApp (the contact number is provided within the app). The Agent collects or pays out funds, then confirms the transaction to Opinio LLC. Opinio LLC then updates your account balance accordingly.
• Agents are independent contractors — they are not employees, shareholders, or directors of Opinio LLC. Their sole role is to physically handle the money side of transactions in their region.
• All account data, balances, and platform activity is held exclusively by Opinio LLC and is never stored, accessed, or controlled by individual Agents.
• We do not store card numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive financial credentials. Payment details shared directly with an Agent are handled confidentially and used only to complete the specific transaction.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Role-based access controls restrict who within Opinio LLC can view your data. Agents have no access to the platform database or your personal account information.

6. Cookies

We use minimal cookies strictly necessary to keep you logged in (authentication session token). We do not use advertising cookies, analytics tracking cookies, or any third-party tracking pixels. If you clear your browser cookies, you will be logged out and will need to sign in again. No other functionality is affected.

7. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting, processed under Supabase's privacy policy.
• Namecheap Private Email — transactional email delivery for password resets and account notifications.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — used by authorised Agents as a communication channel. Messages via WhatsApp are subject to Meta's own privacy policy. Transaction details are separately logged by Opinio LLC.

We do not use Stripe or any automated payment processor. No payment card data ever passes through Opinio LLC's systems.

8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: request that inaccurate data be corrected.
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Portability: request your data in a portable format.
• Objection: object to certain types of processing.
• California residents (CCPA): you have the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 5 years for compliance and dispute resolution. All other personal data is removed within 30 days of a verified deletion request.

10. International Data Transfers

Opinio LLC is registered in the United States. By using the platform, you consent to the storage and processing of your data in accordance with this policy. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in compliance with applicable data protection law.

11. Children's Privacy

My Opinio is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Accounts found to belong to minors will be immediately suspended and their data deleted.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
